I know it might not be the answer you’re looking for, but perhaps you can start by working out at home? Do you have a partner that can look after the baby while you go? Is there a friend willing to do so, since you have no family help? Is there any fitness centres near you where they have a little daycare?

I know your saying you would like to go to the gym but if it not possible to leave your baby could you possibly do like home workouts in the garden or inside maybe ? 😊 Least you'll still be working out then x

Could you take baby with you and leave them in their car seat but just have them with you? Or use your baby as weight? Or maybe a home workout until you’re able to find other methods x

Home workouts are a good idea however, I was a gym-oholic before I got pregnant. The intensity and use of equipment isnt great at home. I am dying to use the gym and feel that adrenaline - carelessly without having any worry of the baby. The day care at the gym sounds like a perfect option, but are there gyms with day care. If someone knows please help. I live in stratford, next to westfields.

@Mahra I fully understand where you’re coming from, home workouts aren’t quite the same as gym workouts x

There are gyms that have baby crèches like some virgin actives do

True, wish I knew what to do. Not having to exercise like before makes me so sad.

Try David Lloyd. They sometimes have crèches

Maybe try a smaller private gym, they are more likely to let you take baby with you? Xx

Some gyms have crèches xx

The Rep Room in Cheshunt run daily baby and mum classes.. it’s brilliant, you just take the baby with you.. check them out.. https://www.instagram.com/thereproom_?igsh=OHV5OXRzanNveGR5

I found a Baby/Mama class to attend. It's only on once a week but you take your baby with you and you workout with all the other mums and babies in one room. I've got my second one tomorrow x

FYI - Most gym crèches are 3 months minimum age

I’m the same, no family support or partner. Thinking will have to join David Lloyd as they all have crèches. But only from 3months. Totally get the need to go exercise when you did before. I’m now in predicament I was all up for joining gym for this reason before. Now recently she’s come of age to be able to,, I’m worried about leaving her with randoms 🙈

Virgin active takes babies from 6 weeks x

Some of the bigger gyms like David Lloyd and some Virgin active clubs will have a crèche. You can also see if there are any mum and baby friendly local classes… might not be what you’re looking for. Otherwise a private post natal PT might have the set up to look after your baby. Failing all of these… you might just have to pay for a sitter if you don’t have anyone to help with childcare. It might be costly but I suppose it depends on how much you really want to get into the gym!

Maybe have a look around CrossFit guys are usually baby friendly, or I go to a gym in sidcup which is CrossFit/hydrox that has baby friendly classes 2-3 times a day and the classes usually high intensity. They might be the next best option other than home workouts or bigger gyms that have a crèche x

Mum and baby lessons like Pilates, crossfit etc

Look for a post natal gym. I take my baby to mine with me
