Placenta

I took my placenta home and now I really don’t know what to do with it. I have to admit I didn’t do my research on it at all. They asked me while I was lying in bed in pain so I just said yes. What did you guys do with your placenta? Also, they mentioned “proper disposal” so if I end up not doing anything with it how would I get rid of it?

Bury or incinerate at a high temperature . Here’s some info on what to do if you don’t use it . Please read https://thewomens.r.worldssl.net/images/uploads/fact-sheets/TakingPlacentaHome_IH080518.pdf

i got it encapsulated and ate it

Bro, I really wanted to do this with my placenta, but my hospital didn’t let me

We planted a potted lemon tree! The placenta was it’s food for the first 2 years

I had mine donated to people who needed surgery for their eyes. So the hospital took care of it

I never got asked.. they just asked my husband if I wanted to take a photo.. and honestly I wish I got the midwife to press it into a heart shape or something cuz it’s not that great of a photo just as is 🤣 @Irma Did you feel different/better pp after taking it encapsulated? I really wanted to do that, I heard it can give nutrients back to you that are depleted after birth. But then there were other websites that said it’s not healthy and doesn’t really do anything cuz your body disposes it for a reason..
