I’m really sorry to hear that you didn’t get it - that’s rubbish. Have you asked for feedback? Try to reframe it as an opportunity to take the feedback, use it, and turn it into something positive for your next interview ❤️ Potentially most importantly, give yourself time to feel what you need to feel. It’s valid, and it’s important. Give yourself an evening and then pick yourself up and carry on. You’ve got this ❤️

@Elyse thank you, yes they offered to send over some feedback which I’m waiting for. 😔 was told overall I interviewed well, just missed out by one/two points

So look how well you did! Only a few points is really close - well done! I know it doesn’t help, but that’s still really amazing. I once interviewed for a company 3 times before they gave me a job - my manager told me I just wore him down. I know it’s a kick, but it’s not necessarily the end.

I agree with the above, get that feedback and once you receive it make note of it (only if it’s positively constructive!! If not, disregard it 🤣). I always tell people (and myself 🫣) that any interview is absolutely just a practice. Every place is sooo different with how they interview and as you get those experiences under your belt, they better equip you for the next one. Don’t give up, it sounds as though you did brilliantly. Go again as confidently as you were last time as you were clearly doing something right ❤️

Well they asked me questions about my kids, their age and that due to their age i’m probably looking for set days. (Which i didnt mention, they did) Is this allowed? I’m wondering if that went against me

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. I was in the same situation. I got an interview that went extremely well. My experience was word for word their job description. The interview itself felt more like a friendly talk, and all 3 interviewers said i interviewed very well. I didn't get it. They said the only reason was the other person had more experience in the higher education sector (they are a uni) while i am working for a private education provider. My husband did warn me about this and same went for one of my more experienced colleague. I was devastated. Fast forward 3 months, the said experienced colleague left the organisation and i got promoted with a better salary. So i am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. The right job will come along for you.

@Thao thank you, i love hearing inspiring stories like this. I really hope something incredible comes along VERY soon 🤞🏻
