How to embrace motherhood

How does everyone feel about being a mum? I love my baby obviously, he’s 13 weeks. But I find the days boring sometimes, and everyday just feels the same. I also miss my old life and being able to do things when I want, like shower, nap, go for a walk, now I have to plan everything around him. And sometimes feels overwhelming knowing this is my life now. I do also have good days where I do embrace it all and I do have support but can’t help feeling like this at times

Just remember it will get easier and you will get some of your old life back. I have a 7yr old and now an 11 week old. I’m getting through it, knowing it does get easier, you’ll miss it when they are in nursery/school. X

Totally normal to feel like that. It’s a huge change! Have a read up on matresence; the process of becoming a mother. It will get better, and you will get back to be able to doing things soon.

I feel the same , sometimes getting so angry on my husband thinking that he has it easy , but actually he helps a lot and leaving my girl for more then 2h I start feeling guilt and rushing back home. I think it's just our hormones..

Yeah I agree the days are boring I’m used to doing loads and when I want like even popping out for a walk is a challenge can’t do anything quick 😂 I’m trying to be as social as I can with her but also not to push myself to do everything I used to and get help when I can to have a break. I’m sure it’s normal and as they get older our lives will get more back to ‘normal’
