Time away

Is it normal to feel like you need time away from your kids and partner? I feel guilty feeling like this has I work full time and only get the weekends with our family, but I’m starting to feel like I’ve lost myself, I know I am more then just a partner and a mum but I can’t find her!

It’s normal.I love being a mom and working fulltime And got so exhausted. The dad was Cooperative and supportive so I went to Cuba with my 4 friends just last March and he took care my 3 year old daughter for 7 days.Got connected with them morning and evening before their bedtime.I felt relax and relieved when I Came back .Laying down on the beautiful beach with piña colada or tequila sunrise and no one asking for milk or serving on the table and thinking what to cook was such a great feeling for 7 days.lol.😁

It is normal and if you feel these way then you need to follow your heart . I have felt so lost after having kids even though I love my babies to bits , I have taken time off with some friends for a girl trip and u know when I get back to my kids , I will be more stable emotionally and physically to take care of my family . Everyone needs a break . Go for it

@Shela now you have given me more ideas on how to enjoy my trip haha!

I am sure it is, you were you for a long time before the husband and kids came along. Not planning a trip here but I like a few hours to just be me sometimes. Doesn't happen often when working full time unfortunately.

It is completely normal! It is hard because we can get lost in the day to day of motherhood and life. You deserve time for yourself to recharge! Mom guilt is so hard to overcome but you deserve time for yourself guilt free.

There is always a balance between quantity and quality. Regularly taking rime for you is important and necessary. You think oh i.cant go do something for myself for a few spurs on Saturday because weekends are the only family rime we have. But if you are to drained you won't be engaged and snappish and that's not good for anyone. I feel like we wouldn't hesitate to hire a babysitter to go on date night, why do we hesitate to date ourselves. Also reframe it. Take two hours for you but also those two hours can be special dad kid bonding time.

I have wanted time away all day!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s Mother’s Day but I’m still having to take care of my Daughter and house…. So not fair

Thanks Ladies, I haven’t had time away for my kids since my eldest was 11 months old and he is now 3. My partner works away 7 on 7 off so it makes life hard. The only time I get to myself is driving to and from work!
