“Actions speak louder than words”

I do agree with this but I feel like some people hear this and decide words are no longer needed. Like my fil says he shows his love in his actions so he doesn’t feel a need to ever say I love you. I told him actions are great but words are just as important how will a person know for sure that ur actions are a sign of love if you can’t even say the words out ur mouth?

Ooo Bella I’ve had to deal with that with my finance

@Kimberly I feel like a deeper convo needs to be had maybe he was never told I love you as a kid. My parents definitely didn’t say I love you until now when I’m fully grown so I have a hard time saying it for a long time. Luckily my partner didn’t end up like his dad & he says I love you to me and our son all the time.

We’ve had the convo and it’s gotten better but it is tuff when his love language is different.
