Unexpected bleeding
I have been taking cyclogest for the past 2 months as my fertility consultant suspects I may have short luteal phase. This seems to have worked. However, for the past 3 days I have been bleeding unexpectedly. I am not in the lteal phase, i am exodcting to ovulate in the next few days. This bleeding is heavier than I would normally have in the luteal phase, more like a period but without any cramps. My period ended about a week before this started. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be side effects of the medication?

It’s possibly related, hormone imbalances CAN be a cause of abnormal bleeding and you are obviously introducing more progesterone into your body than it’s been previously used to so there’s a chance it’s related. It could be completely unrelated though. I’d certainly contact your consultant about the bleeding and see what they say 😊 x
