Ovarian cyst or endometriosis

Hi everyone . I'm just after some advice really as I have no idea what symptoms are what , so when I was pregnant almost 2 years ago the lady told me I had a cyst on my ovary and it was never spoken of after that or investigated so I didn't think anything of it . But after I had my baby my periods are all over the place so irregular but then they stopped once I started the injection , but I sometimes get a dull pain on my right side of my lower abdomen and can also be painful durin sex , like a sharp stabbing pain , is this something I should speak to a doctor about as I googled it and it mentioned endomitosis or cyst but I don't know what is what

Yes speak to the doctors. I have both which cause the same symptoms so it could be both or either. Some cysts come and go and endometriosis can be managed too so try not to worry 🙂

I am being referred for a scan , do you know what the steps are aftert that if they do find one

It depends on the type of cyst and how big it is. I have had surgery for a large dermoid cyst in the past but generally they are small and functional and will go on their own.

If they suspect endo then you may get an mri to see how much you have. I have it mild so no need for surgery but I have friends that have had surgery to remove some of the endo tissue growth. It stops growing when you’re pregnant funnily enough!

It causes me to sometimes have sharp period like pains but no period ..if that makes sense x
