PP meal service - worth it?

I’m thinking of ordering the first four weeks package from Meals For Mummas (https://meals4mummas.com.au) - it’s expensive but seems like a good, nourishing way to get started with PP recovery and to give us one less thing to worry about once baby #2 arrives in a few weeks. Has anyone used this service or something like it? Was it worthwhile? Why?

I looked into this before having my bub but decided not to worry as we would still have to shop/cook for the rest of the family. Instead we did a lot of cooking to create a freezer stash for the first few weeks and then my mum and sister also did some freezer meals for us. All up we needed up with 6 weeks worth of dinners to heat up.

I have also been considering something like this but as Jess mentioned above, everyone else still needs food ahaha so the costing doesn’t seem reasonable for us. I know after my first when things were a bit tough (we didn’t have family helping) we used the Dinner Ladies? Coz there was a coupon in the baby bag thing you get. I thought they were pretty good food and range and portions. I will probably look into something like that again, or spending the money on buying bulk meat/veggies and doing some full on cooking and freezing before baby 2 arrives 😅

I used them and love them! So great to have meals just for me. I felt much better for it. We weren’t overly prepared prior in terms of meals and I wanted to try and look after myself after.

I had dishes from made for mothers and I loved it! My husband too because it was easy to prepare for me ;) I very much like the drinks they had. Anyways, we also used Uber eats ;)

Thanks for your POVs girls. I know we’ll still have to cook for my partner and toddler but to be honest, we all eat differently anyway so I don’t think it’ll create any MORE work if we order something like this. When we brought my eldest home, we subsisted on bacon and egg rolls from the cafe round the corner and I’m aiming for a less nutritionally vacant postpartum this time round…!
