Induction - Waiting

I was booked in for an induction yesterday and told to wait for the call to come in. However, the call never came and haven't been called in today either, as the hospital is so busy and there are no beds available. Im trying not to get down about it as I know there's nothing that can be done to speed up availability. But it's so frustrating when you have a date in your head then are left waiting. Has anyone else experienced the same and if so, how long after your planned induction date was it before you were induced?

I was told friday to be called but I was called saturday 5am to GP in for 8am - they put the balloon in sat am took out that night and was 2cm told I was om a wait just to go fir my waters breaking just needed to wait forba bed... My waters broke naturally the following weds still didn't get a bed untill about midnight Thursday 🙃 They are so busy!! I wish I'd of gone Barnsley or transferred to Leeds I feel for the staff tbf!

It is really frustrating because what they don’t tell you before booking the induction is that it can take time and it goes of priority so the dr will make a list of who to call in first and then so on that’s not including walk ins and emergency’s and then it depends how long it takes for them women to labour. Are you having the balloon or the pessary? i had the balloon with my little boy and it had it put in the day after my set induction date at like 8pm and then because i was an out patient i got sent home, had it out the day after and then had to wait to be called in to have my waters broken, i ended up going into labour the next day so i don’t have to wait long but they did say it can take a couple days. I had the pessarys with my daughter and i still hadn’t been called in the next day but i went in for reduced movements so they just ended up keeping me in but i wasn’t even half way down the list so if i hadn’t gone in for RM then i probably would’ve been waiting a while xx
