Smoothies is an option. With oats and nut butter or avocados. Can add oils and 1 tablespoon of protein powder, could add spinach, kale, steamed carrots, sweet potato. But you need to keep trying to get him to eat solids cuz only eating mush isn't great for jaw development. Is he pooping. My daughter has terrible constipation and she won't eat if she's backed up. I started her on a stool softener(I tried every natural thing out there) and now she eats and demands to eat. From the kid would wouldn't eat anything to eating most things offered. I'd look at that too
@Jade He poops daily and very well because of the soup so I know that (unfortunately bc it could have been a solution and fortunately bc constipation is horrible) isnt the problem. He chews everything and anything that isnt food. I thought it was pica but its not because he only does it for his gums. I wanna try not giving him milk during the day or soup but then I feel like a horrible mom even though I am trying it for his sake.
Start making this safe foods chunkier as time goes on like you would if you were just starting solids. Otherwise get in touch with pediatrician cuz they may refer u to early intervention which should be very low cost
My little girl is teething right now and she won’t eat anything unless it helps her gums feel better: frozen peas, frozen corn, cold apple slices from the fridge, cucumbers, or baby food purées, snack packs, etc so she doesn’t have to chew. After that she’ll try the other food, especially if it comes with something she can dip it in (like ranch or ketchup) bc it is fascinating to her right now and that joy seems to trump her teething pain.
