Anyone else feeling very emotional after birth?

I am feeling very emotional after the birth of my daughter this past Friday. I look at my first born and just breakout into tears. What helps you cope?

OMG me too 😭😭😭 I just wanna cry for anything and by looking at her too!

@Karina must be the hormones. Or just remembering our first loves.

I just had my first born on the 10th and I have been feeling emotional for sure. I just start crying out of no where because of the love I have for my baby boy. Hoping it’s starting to level out. Been trying to watch funny tv shows or listen to comedy podcasts to keep things light and airy

@Tania must be or something like that! I was listening to a sad song (it’s dedicated for my baby) and I wanted to cry.

So, I'm about to have my 6th anytime (was due yesterday) what your talking about happens to me after every baby. It's due to unbalanced hormones and low sleep. Pregnancy and Birth really take a toll on your body doesn't it. Eventually this will pass. It's definitely not my favorite part of the healing process though. I never feel myself during that time.

Classic baby blues. Perfectly normal while hormones regulate again. If it gets worse though or lasts longer than a few weeks it is worth speaking to your doctor about.

@Bree how long does it last?

I cried as well by looking at my baby FTM

@Tania definitely depends. They should level out in a couple months. For some, though, they start to switch from simple baby blues to postpartum depression. So definitely make sure you take good care of yourself. Eat well, sleep when you can, have some good support, and be positive to yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help from someone who loves and supports you. This is a big transition. Eventually, things will level out, and you'll have a routine beginning. It will start getting easier and normal.

Following. Getting induced tonight and I am a MESS leaving my toddler
