Hand foot and mouth.

We think our little one has this, spots on his bottom and 1 on his hand. Rotten cough and cold. Cases at nursery too! He’s been abit unsettled the last few days and nights. Nothing major and I just put it down to teething. Are the spots coming out meaning he’s had it for a few days already? Currently he hasn’t had a temp with it, and seems his normal self again today. Just wondering what others have experience after the spots come up. Thanks

My daughter had it last month, the spots / rashes / blisters are stage 2. Your little one will have had it for 1-3 days before. My daughter was upset a little as they were in her mouth but she was fine within herself. Not every baby gets really unwell with it

When my daughter had it, we found the spots on her bum first! Then she started to get a few up and down her legs and then suddenly all round her mouth and a couple on palms of her hands and the soles of her feet. A Dr I spoke to said it should be renamed HFM and bum! She had a couple of rough nights beforehand and then the spots came out. If your little one does have it, a side effect that I didn't know about is that in a few weeks time his finger nails and toe nails may suddenly start falling off. It sounds way more dramatic than it is and they grow back but I didn't know this could happen until it did. So just a pre-warning! X
