Upstate NY

Anyone from or living in the Albany area? (I know I’m posting in the NYC group but there are no upstate groups that are very active) My husband and I are looking to relocate in January but we want to know if there are recommended areas to look in or not look in for apartments or townhomes. The other thing is my husband is a construction worker and he’s curious how jobs are up there - like if there’s a good amount that are looking for people. Any advice would be helpful! I work from home so I can go anywhere but we want to move upstate because it’s soooo expensive down here and we’d be looking for a 2bedroom of course.
