STILL not eating

I posted a couple weeks ago talking about how hard it was to get my son to eat. It’s getting even worse. He used to have a meal after his nap. Now I can’t even get him to have that and I’m starting to worry now in case it’s something more than just a ‘phase’. It’s been about a month now of him refusing meals. I told the doctor yesterday and she said it’s his was of exerting control.

I’m going through this same phase. Not that he ever ate that well. But it does seem like he’s trying to prove a point. I really don’t know what to do.

Same here. He eats well at nursery though. But he refuses any meals at home. Will have some snacks and bits. But it’s a battle to do meals and he ends up eating next to nothing.

My baby isn’t eating either - he has been poorly but is barely eating a thing - it’s so hard to know what to do isn’t it . X

We are having the same at the moment! I’ve also heard that around this age they realise they have control over very little and they become aware that food is one of the things they can control, but who knows! Have you tried thinking about what he’s eaten over the course of a week - maybe he is taking in more than it seems when you’re in the thick of it day to day? Could you try offering smaller meals, more regularly? Or maybe a ‘grazing’ plate that he can access whenever he wants without the pressure of sitting for a meal? Just suggestions, but know you’re not alone!!!!!
