How does everyone warm their bottles?

Can’t decide what would be best for us? We will only be bottle feeding from the get go so not sure what would work best for our family. East to clean and easy to transport are our big requirements

The microwave

Flask of boiling water, flask of cooled boiled water, pre measured formula in a sectioned pot. Takes seconds to make up a bottle to the perfect temp to drink straight away

We have a prep machine for at home and have premade for out and about. If we don't use the whole carton, I fridge the remainder/icepack it in an insulated bag and then when I need to use it, run it under a hot tap (use Mam bottles which can't be dunked in water)

My first drank everything room temp or cold. My second only wants warm so we do the microwave to take the chill off. Usually 30-50 seconds depending on the microwave is enough for him

You’re not supposed to microwave. It can create hot pockets that will burn baby, even if the rest of the milk feels fine. We used a bottle warmer when needed, but you may get lucky like us and baby doesn’t mind cold/room temperature bottles. You can also put the bottle in a bowl and run it under warm water in the sink

I use either the bottle warmer if I’m upstairs or the kettle and a jug if I’m down, but sometimes he will take the bottle fridge cold or room temperature I go by what he wants really x

Boiling water in a cappuccino mug pop the bottle in the mug for a few minutes

@Kassidi you just shake the bottle afterwards so it all mixes together. It’s fine.

@SquishyMommy1 I’m just going off the AAP, CDC, and La Leche League recommendations. Plus if it’s breastmilk the microwave will destroy some of the immunological components in the breastmilk and decrease its fat content. Whatever works for your family is fine, but personally I wouldn’t recommend it to others

God I hope he takes it cool 🙏 If not seems like many are doing the mug method which will definitely save money! 💵 was planning on the pitcher method as well so that would work out super great! Thank you guys!

@Victoria my baby takes it cool but I feel bad giving him cold milk as I’ve head it uses more of their energy to heat the milk themselves which isn’t good for weight gain but I only use the bottle in a mug method if it’s milk straight from the fridge if not I don’t heat room temperature milk xx

@Laurie same!

We use formula and so we fill bottles with double filtered room temp tap water (we have a brita that stays out on the counter) that we add formula to throughout the day. We warm one bottle and it’s the one right before bed.

Agree with what @Laurie said. Its how i did it, at home, out and about and off a night

I used Baby breeza they have a machine that heats it up for you at the exact room temp it needs to be

I have a ‘steri bottle’ that we put his milk in and then stand it in a cup of boiling water for the ones he has out the fridge. Otherwise he takes it at room temp, he was in the nicu so I think it made him less fussy with feeds😅
