Teething or not

I can’t tell if my 8 week old recently he’s been holding a lot of saliva in his mouth and eating his hand constantly. He’s become a lot more fussy and clingy. I’m finding he’s also using his bottles as comfort as I’ll feed him he’ll be content for a short time then start crying again untill I give another bottle however he doesn’t drink it really he holds it in his mouth and has very little sucks on it. I tried his dummy but that doesn’t seem to help.
