Falling behind
Anyone else worried their little one is falling behind? We’ve tried potty training twice and we can’t even get him to sit on the toilet, he just gets really upset. (prefers toilet to potty). Also behind on speech, says 3 word sentences but struggles with pronunciation and often struggle to know what he’s saying. He goes to nursery 3 mornings which I think is helping but I just worry 😩I just feel like everyone’s over taking him even though they’re younger.

My first son went to potty after 3 and started to speak more only after 3yo. Now my Jan 22 girl is speaking loads but not interested a tiny bit in potty training 🫣
My oldest wasn't potty trained till gone 4yo. My almost 3-year-old can talk but isn't interested in the toilet in the slightest. They all do it at their own pace. If he goes to nursery, they should tell you if it's something to be concerned about. Does the nursery get involved, my little ones nursery take her to the toilet even though we are not actively training at the moment. It keeps the idea of the toilet in their heads.
