Awaiting surgery
Any mommas on here have had open heart surgery for their LO . My poor baby is in the hospital still been there for almost a month and it looks like we will be here mid November early December and I’m struggling my whole life turned upside down and I miss being able to snuggle and play with him 💔 has anyone been through this did your baby recover well from surgery?

How long were you in the hospital total
Also when you got home with him was the recovery hard at home? I know there is a special way we have to pick up after surgery

Yes, my son had OHS at 4 months old. It's a very difficult thing to go through, but when it's over you'll have the biggest feeling of relief wash over you. For us, we spent a week in recovery. Of course every case is different, but I pray your sweet baby has a successful surgery and smooth recovery. Ask about beads of courage while you're there. It helped me get through the days and it'll be nice to show your little one when they are older how strong they were
