Covid in pregnancy

Has anyone ever had Covid while pregnant before? I think I have it, i did a test this morning which at first looked negative but later turned positive (not the kind of positive I want šŸ˜‚), Iā€™m hoping itā€™s just an evap line. But Iā€™m so worried about getting ill and it hurting the baby, Iā€™ve read covid can affect us much more when pregnant. To make it worse Iā€™m due to have a private scan Sunday and my first midwife appointment Monday so both of those will need to be postponed as I wouldnā€™t want to risk anything around other pregnant ladies. Iā€™m already so anxious after having a miscarriage in June, this will just make me 10x worse! Iā€™ll do another test to make sure and will phone the hospital for advice if it is positive

I think you should ring the the maternity unit and let them know how your feeling hun! And after your Covid is over, get the flu jab maybe? Xxx

I had COVID when I was pregnant, it was really rough. Look after yourself xx

@Shelly yes definitely, I get a flu jab free from work so I always do it and I never get sick, just left it too late this year šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I thought I wouldnā€™t be able to get the jab being pregnant, stupid of me to assume that! X

@Laura thank you, I was completely fine yesterday and woke up this morning feeling awful so I think itā€™s going to be bad šŸ˜ x

I had Covid when I was 16 weeks pregnant back in 2021, it was really tough going. I could only take paracetamol and it wasnā€™t fun when all I wanted was a lemsip drinkšŸ„² They always sort me out! I lost my smell & taste then and it didnā€™t come back until year and a half lateršŸ«£ My wee boy is 3 in December but absolutely perfectly healthy, it was probably a good thing for him as some of the antibodies would have been passed onto him as well x

I did quite early on in my previous pregnancy, all was fine! šŸ˜Š
