Omg I can’t get my baby on milk to save my life. I do an oz and the rest formula and he will drink it but if it’s a full bottle he throws it up everywhere! Not sure if he can’t tolerate it or what. So following =]

My baby was drinking 8 oz of formula so I’ve been doing 4 oz of formula and 4 oz of milk and she’s been really good transitioning it, I would say do half and half till they can drink it fully without any problems after moderating them how they react

It was a slow transition for us too. After a little over a month we are finally on all cows milk. Our ped told us no more than 24 oz a day. We do about 20 oz a day.

16 to 20 said our ped.. But even if they dont drink that is fine as long as they are eating solids ok. My baby drinks normally 12 to 18, rest is food. 6 oz in the morning and 12 oz in the night.

Tbh we don’t even do milk, idk if that’s okay but we just drink water all day

@Danielle same here, I tried offering him reg milk and he wouldn’t drink it but also didn’t care/wasn’t affecting by taking the bottles away

@Danielle that’s ok! They don’t need milk as long as they’re getting other forms of dairy (yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, etc). Both of my kids stopped drinking milk at 13 months

@Indigo good to know! He eats both cheese n yogurt on the regular!

My baby is now fully off formula, at first I mixed the milk with water bc he was getting constipated but now we are fully cows milk in hopes he will gain weight

We don’t do any cows milk or dairy products, my baby doesn’t tolerate them

No milk is necessary after 1 year old.
