Random…

Hey guys! Hope you’re all ok! This feels like a really random thing to ask but does anyone feel like their stomach is too small/unable to stretch enough to grow a baby? I’m 27 weeks now and already feel so uncomfortable and heavy. My skin around my stomach feels so tight and my belly is rock hard! I’ve always been quite slim so just wondering if this is a normal change but I’m worrying I physically won’t stretch or grow as much as I need to!

Hey Phoebe, I feel exactly the same, my bump has been feeling suuuuuuper tight and skin stretched on and off for the last few weeks now and I'm 28 weeks on Friday. I have been told it is very normal and all my friends went through it. I found just gentle movement and moisturising your bump as well helps a little but I think that's just growing "discomfort" I'm afraid. I feel like I've eaten waaaayyyy too much when I feel like how your describe. My mouth wants to snack and my tummy is like guys, no, no 😂 I'm not naturally super slim, just normal/curvy and muscular I'd say but it sounds like everyone goes through it. If you're super concerned, it might be worth mentioning it to your midwife but I'm sure it's normal! Could also be baby moving in a strange position which is creating this feeling of tightness. Hang in there! I found if I'm constipated and manage to go, it helps too sometimes 🙈

I’m the same - 29+3, previously slim, have no clue how my belly is going to get any bigger 😵‍💫😂

I found mine was feeling quite tight but I'm now almost 30 weeks and somehow doesn't feel so much! But it does depend on if I've just eaten and what position the baby is in.

I'm also 28 weeks on Friday and I feel exactly the same! I wasn't naturally particularly slim but everything now feels so tight. I find eating little and often helps because normal meal sizes make me feel so uncomfortable after. Plus a bath each night and lots of moisturising makes me feel so much better by the next day
