Girls who pump how do you work your feeds? I know you’re not meant to feed more than 4oz a feed, my boy is 3 months old on 3.5oz a feed at the moment which he has every 2-3 hours so feeds normally 6 times a day. He is ready to drop his 10.30/11 bottle, I struggle to get him to take it all & last night I just let him sleep and he still went through the night so he only actually had 5 feeds yesterday which isn’t enough.. How do you fit it all in? To up his feeds to allow for the 6th bottle to be dropped he would be on 4.25oz & I also don’t want to make him sick upping it almost a full oz 😩 help!!

Similar situation here - my daughter has just turned 4m so not that far off from you. Unfortunately when I was feeding her every 3h she wouldn’t finish her bottle and always left some. I realised she wasn’t feeling hungry so extended it for 4h. Most the time she takes the full feed now. She hasn’t gone past 4.5oz and even that is a push. She seems content for now so I’m not going to push it unless there’s a drastic weight loss. I’ve dropped her 2am bottle as for now she’s ok through the night. I wouldn’t wake him if he’s ok. How much does he weigh? X

Also don’t force him to have more as he hasn’t reached that capacity yet and as you said don’t want him to puke. What I have found is that my daughter is fuller for a bit longer when I give her more at 4h 🤷🏻‍♀️

If i’m really honest, feed him when he tells you he’s hungry, if you were breast feeding you would have no idea how many oz he was having so just go with instinct, if he’s hungry give him however much he’ll take. If he’s having a good amount of wet and dirty nappies he’s absolutely fine! X
