12month vaccinations

Hello, due to some circumstances my LO (16months old) is having his 12 months vaccinations tomorrow. I am very worried about that will be 4 at the same time and what side efects may be. It is possible to split it ? Can you please share your experiences? Thank you

I don’t think you can split it but even if you could I wouldn’t because then they’re having to go through it twice and they’re gonna feel like shit twice. My little boys were fine they were over fairly quick he did cry but not for long. He got a bit of a high temperature and he had a sore leg for a couple of days but that’s it.

Hi, we have split it up with our little one. She’s holding her breath when in pain/discomfort and that’s why we chose to split it as it is very scary. Even the nurse avoided to do all of them at the same time. If it wasn’t for that, probably we would of done all of them at the same time. With the first two she had a bit of a sore leg and temperature. And just a bit of temperature with the other two as well. Hope it helps ❤️ xx

I found the 4 in 1 (2 in each leg) better than having to go through the process twice. They do them very quickly! It’s harder because they are more aware but again they are quick with it and then it’s done until 3 years. The side effects are the same whether you get 2 or 4 so by splitting it you’d have two rounds of side effects as well. It affects babies differently. My girl was upset at the time of getting them, then she was ok, then she had dead legs the rest of the day but was ok and gave calpol. Legs started to come back the next day and she was fine. But she then had the delayed temperatures for a few days and rash from the mmr. She was fine and the rash looked bad but isn’t actually the same as them being unwell and faded after a few days. But I don’t think splitting it would’ve lessened anything, just would’ve dragged it out. Of course do what’s best for your little one.

Thank you all xx
