Today at 28+5 x

I’m going to try and get the flu one today- was unsure too about another one. But spoke to my sister who is a nurse and she said do it. If it’s recommended for you and baby. But each to their own of course ☺️

I got mine today at 28 weeks :)

I’m getting mine done next week for RSV and flu and I’ll be 28+3

Just FYI, if you look at the data, there were 3 cases of GBS per several million, who were elderly males (and it isn't clear whether there was even a link to the vaccine). x

I had mine at 29 weeks (only because of timing of the clinic and having to travel 30 mins each way for it). Zero side effects, not even an achey arm. Arm hurt briefly immediately after and that was it - and not enough to affect my drive home or anything.

I'm booked in for mine but I might cancel.. After reading it was only approved for use in pregnancy last month (Sept 24) and it can cause preterm birth (very rare but still)..

I'm unsure on if I should get this vaccine or not absolutely petrified as its only just rolled out the vaccines 😅

@Katy there was no significant difference between the groups, which suggests no link to preterm birth. There was a different vaccine that was stopped in trials due to potential risks, but not the one approved. It has only just been approved in the UK but has been given successfully in other countries. The US approved it's use last year and it has been trialled in and given to many pregnant women. Obviously it is absolutely personal choice!
