Family asking when you're going to switch to formula?

I'm just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this... My baby is 11 weeks old and EBF. He's my second baby, my first was combi fed for the first 4 month then exclusively formula fed from there as I had a lot of issues with breastfeeding. I'm extremely proud and happy that I've managed to EBF so far this time with no need for any formula or top ups (no shade intended, it's just what I wanted to do so I'm very happy about it!) My issue is that I've had several comments from both my family and my inlaws asking when I'm going to switch to bottles and formula? I really don't get it as obviously there is no need and if you are able and willing then breast milk is the ideal start for a baby (again, no hate intended for anyone who has to or chooses to formula feed!) I don't get why they are so keen for me to stop? It's not impacting my views on how long I intend to breastfeed, it's more that it's just a bit annoying 😂

Yes! My in-laws continued to pester us about switching my eldest to formula. She could tell we weren’t going to so she switched to pestering us about giving her milk (even tho as a doctor she should have known that you can’t give a baby younger than 1 milk)

We’re NC, so I work have to deal with that with my second thankfully

Breastfeed for as long as you want and switch when your ready. honestly it’s your baby so you do what you see fit whenever they ask you just ignore it or say when your ready to switch.

I would imagine that because they saw you do combi/switch with the first, they’re just asking the question? Maybe they’d like to be involved in the feeding and this is a roundabout way of them asking? Doesn’t seem to be coming from a bad place to me.

@Charlotte no it's not coming from a bad place, just a tad annoying 😂 and I do pump once a day for him to have a bottle of expressed milk anyway so someone else is always able to feed him then. It just seems a little odd to me that the expectation is that we should switch to formula. They also know that it wasn't really what I'd wanted with my 1st baby but it's just the way things happened so they know breastfeeding was always the plan.
