Potty Training

Please send me all potty training tips! We are on day 3 and my daughter will do pees on the toilet when prompted and get so excited when she does it, but won’t do poos. She has nothing on from the waist down but goes back to her childminder next week and I’m worried we’ve jumped the gun a bit. Please give me honest stories about potty training because everything I’ve read says 3 days bare, then loose trousers on day 4 but I can’t see that being the case. Shes doing amazing, I think I’m just looking a bit of moral support😂

Didn’t change anything with either of my 2, also most cup have a fear of pooing so allow her to still use a not so she doesn’t become constipated, even if it’s just putting it in the potty

My little girl has been potty trained for around a month now and still doesn’t really like going for a poo until she absolutely can’t hold it anymore lol so I think just give it time x

We also started trying for the 3 days thing, but have paused coz he’s had a language spurt which has taken all his brain capacity 🤣. I’ve since come across this website which has given me a different perspective www.eric.org.uk We’re going for longer learning with less absorbent nappies and pants so he can feel and learn the wetness. Now his brain is calming down, we need to get back on it.

We followed oh crap method. We introduced trousers again at the end of day 2 but she wasn't witholding poos. Is she just not pooing or is she having accidents? If she's having accidents make sure you don't say it's ok, just say oh dear that's not where we do a poo and move her to the potty. Sounds like she's doing really well to be fair. We sent our little girl to nursery on day 4 of potty training and it went fine (no accidents that day, but then up and down for a couple of weeks). A lot can change in a couple of days with potty training so I'm sure it'll be fine
