Anybody in England able to send me a copy of their last shopping receipt? We’re comparing cost of living to Switzerland (where I’ve movies to last year) and England. Deciding whether to move back home.

Switzerland is very expensive! I would do an online shop on say waitrose and tescos for a feel on day to day items that you put in your basket

I agree with the above, creating your own basket of items online will give you the best idea.

It’s hard to use others lists as we all buy different Me a typical weekly shop for 3 (toddler) is £40-£50 But someone else same size family is £120. They eat more or use more brands. Everyone’s lifestyle is different. Like above have said do your own online shop. Don’t forget aswell though there’s loyalty cards for discounts aswell

We're a family of 4, (aged 3 and 1) and have 2 cats. Our weekly shop from aldi is about £75 although there are weeks where we go above or below (more usually above!). We also have to go to other supermarkets sometimes to get the last few things. We also try to eat less meat to save money and don't have a huge amount of treats.

Just use a grocery shopping app and fill a basket without paying.

We spend on average probably £250 but we shop at waitrose. Family of 3 with a picky autistic 4 year old. You won’t be able to get an idea based on other peoples lives

We’re a family of 4 Our weekly shop is £100 But have an autistic 3 year old who will only eat certain foods. This also includes nappies.

I think our Ocado one for 4/5 days worth of food and some drinks (1 case of coke 1 case of Coke Zero) plus few bits and bobs was £140 , however I buy mostly organic on veggies for the little guy (7 months) and we like good food. Also, steak for a few meals was £120ish from an online butcher in Yorkshire. On average, I think we’re spending easily over £800 on groceries a month, including water, nappies and wipes

We are spending about £600-700 a month for a family of 3 (shopping at M&S, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons). Switzerland though may be one of the most expensive country in mainland Europe though. I bought a can of coke there and it was £4…
