LO lost appetite

Hi all, my lo is 1 year old and a few weeks ago they had their vaccinations. Since then I have noticed a really big change to his appetite and milk intake. He used to be such a foodie and now is very picky, starts whining and crying at the sight of some foods / spoon and is drinking significantly less milk. He pretty much only will eat yogurt or fruit. I'm not saying it is related to the vaccine but just adding that information as context. He has also had a cold on and off for about month but has had colds before and kept eating. I'm really worried about him losing weight and being dehydrated as he has never been fussed on water. I'm doubtful that the GP would say anything useful. Has anyone else experienced this?? Does anyone have any advice on what to do. I'm unsure on when he refuses a meal if I'm supposed to over him something else or just accept that he's apparently not hungry. I don't want to reinforce bad eating habits where he can just whine and get a different meal but at the same time I don't want him going hungry.

Omggggg this is my 1 year old right now, I try to go off his hunger queues, he won’t eat anything in his high chair that’s not fruit. He throws everything on the floor. So when he throws a tantrum, I put him on the floor because I won’t make 2 different meals, and he eats it no problem. I do clean the floors 3 times a day, but everyone is telling me I’m a bad mom for making him eat “floor food”.

This is so normal! This happened to my son, and I was like wtf, why is he all of a sudden not eating?? It's a part of their development. For some reason, they can go off of a few bites or a few sips and be just fine. They will not starve themselves, as well as they won't overfeed themselves either. Babies are weird, but if it makes you feel better, contacting the pediatrician never hurts 💕

Do we all have the same child? Because this is the story of my life at the moment! Unless it’s fruit/snacky stuff he doesn’t want anything to do with it. As for water, he sips and spits it right back out. I’m at the point where I try not to stress about it, I’ll offer a meal alongside snacks or fruit that I know he will enjoy and let him pick and choose. He’s happier and so am I. 😭 Remember, they will eat when they are hungry, we can only do our bit by offering the food x
