Ear Infection

Hi fam! I wanted to know if any of your little ones have experienced an ear infection. What symptoms occurred and how did you treat it ? Antibiotics or home remedies? What ways do keep your LO’s ears clean and prevent ear infections? Please let me know all the details. My little one recently recovered from a 3 day fever and I’m concerned if he has or had an ear infection.

My daughter has had 3 ear infections so far and unfortunately with her we had to do 10 day course of antibiotics as she had fever pulling ears vomiting and screaming at top of her lungs and super clingy

Mullein garlic oil is what we have on hand for signs of ear infection. Not sure it will cure a full blown infection but it can help prevent that from developing during the early stages. I think I've actually used it more on me then on the kids.

As far as symptoms, when my son had an ear infection before, he would be very irritated and tug on his ears, and he would normally get them when he has been around other kids who had previous infections. I use the onions on the feet on the socks when he sleeps plus the antibiotic the doctor prescribed

My son had it. During the day he was fine but could not sleep at night, kept waking up. He only had very runny nose for days. When I took him to pediatrician they said he had ear infection and prescribed antibiotic - 10 days. He felt better very quickly. Interestingly he did not have fever.

My daughter had a terrible double ear infection last year. She was super congested and not herself. Brought her to an urgent care since it was the weekend and her Drs office was closed. She was put on antibiotics. Then the next day Her right ear drum ended up popping from the pressure. Woke up with blood all over her sheets and down her ear. (It was horrifying, I was so scared) Went to her regular doctor and put on stronger antibiotics. Her eardrum healed on her own.
