Did you model pointing? Does you kid point?

My son isn't pointing which isn't considered delayed yet, but it could be if he doesn't get to it in the upcoming months. I realized recently that I absolutely NEVER modeled it. I wonder if that's why he's struggling with it. Did you model it? Do your kids point?

I clicked didn’t model, kid points… but I’m realizing maybe i do model? I haven’t never intentionally tried getting him pointing or tried excessively pointing infront of him but i guess we as humans sometimes point 🤣 like if there’s an airplane and i want him to look up i point…. Or if i want him to bring me a toy i point, but im not overdoing it or trying to “teach him to point” if that makes sense! Also he just started pointing like a week or two ago!

@Kelly same here! Same way I modeled n he just started pointing like a week or so ago!

My baby’s been pointing for a week or 2 and I’m not sure if I modeled or not.

My LO will point to things in books but doesn't really do it outside of that.

Eh yeah we kind of do. I have a toddler so I might do it with him. But sometimes I’ll try to do it with her and ask her to grab something or say it’s right there. She doesn’t necessarily point but she does lift up her hand to like point to me when she wants me

I’ve never met an adult who cannot point, he will get there! Don’t stress too much

I don’t think k I’ve ever seen my child point not that I think of it. I’m often pointing at things so he can look at them but I never sat down and showed him how to point I will try that with him today
