No. Though we have only spent 3 nights apart. My girlfriend got married and for her bachelorette trip it was 2 nights and then the night before her wedding, the wedding party stayed at a hotel. He was totally cool with it. I prefer to be with him so I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t a special occasion. We’ve been together almost 5 years.
@Melissa Well that’s a great thing. Maybe it’s our 13 year age gap that makes a difference. Seems to be the older men that have a problem with it, from what I hear.
No
No. I actually had a girl's weekend a month or two after we got married. Another girl's trip is in the plans for before I have my little one in February and my husband has no problem with it. I wouldn't say it's an older guy problem because my dad supports my mom having girl's nights and trips.
I’ve never gone an overnight girls trip but dancing nights coming home at 1-2am, girls nights out, clubs/bars, staying till late at my besties, even full days out I’ve done (like spa or vinery trip) and he’s had absolutely no probs w it at all. He’s done a full weekend Bucks overseas before as well I just haven’t had the opportunity to go the whole weekend w my girls as yet but anywhere I go for like a half/whole day/night I’ve done plenty of times before and get 5-6hrs out every Friday night. We both encourage each other to spend time w friends and doing hobbies
@Sarah yeah my husband is 15 years older than me and while he doesn’t necessarily say I can’t do it, it depends on the exact friends I go with and what exactly we’d be doing. If it’s going to the club or me going gout with partying / single friends that get crazy (one of my bffs from high school for instance)…yeah he doesn’t like that. He’s def more old school and conservative with that stuff that I am or than most guys my age are (I think).
No . He actually encourages me to go out the house. I need friends to hang out with out here in Los Angeles. I'm from orange county and me driving out that way is getting to much for me.
