Insulin dosage
I was diagnosed with GD before 5 weeks and since last week, I started insulin with a dosage of 10 pts and for some reason it doesn't seem to work that effectively. Just wanted to check what's others dosage ?? I was also told that I can't be on metformin as my Liver functionality test showed abnormal results and am currently diagnosed for Cholestasis.

I’m on 2000mg metformin and 18 units of insulin at night. I’ve had to increase the insulin steadily every couple of weeks
I’m on 22u at night and also rapid insulin 3x a day and apparently 22 units is still pretty low (it’s being gradually increased, but I started on 8) but they made me feel a bit better by telling me it’s still a low dosage!
Thank you guys for the answers, TBH I felt terrible that even 10units of insulin couldn't actually control my spike thoroughly especially my fasting sugar, but knowing that it's a low dosage made me feel lot better.
