Heart Rate

Is it normal for heart rate to reduce? I’m guessing it’s ok as midwife was happy but not sure? Latest one was today (31+2), one prior was 28 weeks.

I was told that anything between 120-160 is normal. It also varies based on how active your baby is while they were checking. My 31weeks appointment showed 122 and at 33 weeks it's 148. So it's normal.

As pregnancy progresses it’s normal for the fetal heart to come down. Our heart rates aren’t the same all day every day, there is fluctuation. Babies are the same. They’re human, no robots.

Yeah I believe it drops slightly the further a long you get, but don’t quote me on that! I was monitored at 30+2 and it was 142 xx

Yes it is, the cardiac system is becoming more mature and the heart rate does gradually reduce for this reason. 110-160 is normal range, however it does depend on gestation too. I’d expect higher the earlier on in pregnancy you are.
