Fast breathing and stuffy nose
My baby boy is 22 months, he started sneezing this evening and has stuffy nose, slight temperature gave calpol seemed to work okay but I noticed his breathing is fast, I know breathing quickens during infections/virus such as bronchiolitis and rsv, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight worrying about him being ill, I'm unsure of a check at A and E is required. He's drinking but has been off his food today bless him.
Anyone else little ones poorly...
Normal respiratory rate is 20-30 breaths per minute. You’ll want to set a timer for 30 seconds, count breaths, and multiply by 2. Other signs to look out for to take him to emergency is fever non responsive to meds, lethargy, nose flaring, and chest retractions (seesaw breathing) when breathing. IMO it didn’t sound fast in the video but it’s not a long enough video
