October Pay

Just looked at my payslip on ESR and I've not been given the back pay... Anyone else in the same position? My colleague has checked her wage slip and she's been awarded it - she's not been on MAT leave. I've been on MAT leave since November 2023...(For context).

They could be equalising it in some way for you? Not sure though

Hey. If you’re still on mat leave, when did your mat pay officially end? I started mat leave on 24/10 meaning my mat pay would end before to the new financial year starting in April Due to this I don’t think I will receive the back pay because technically I would be unpaid from around sometime in feb. It sounds like you’re in the same position as me and won’t benefit.

@Alex I'm still on MAT leave and it's not officially ended as yet, it ends 31/10. My leave started 09/11.

I only got back pay from when I returned from mat leave in July 2024 as was technically only on smp payments from April Even though I spread omp

I’ve got mine but for OMP arrear it’s a minus figure

I’ve been on maternity leave since before April so all mine is based on maternity pay and I’ve walked out with £80 more than I usually get. I am top band 7 and 32 hours

I didn't get it either,I returned from mat leave in August and it seems I got only 2 months back pay.

@Georgiana if your payments between April and August were only SMP then you won’t get it for those months as they don’t pay it on SMP only the OMP

This is all so confusing! For reference, I went on MAT leave on 09/11 and I was due to return to work on 07/08 after 9 months, however I decided to take the full year. I split my wage across the 9 months.

@Louise all my payments finished in June, both SMP and OMP, and I wasn't eligible for SMP pay from the NHS. I was very disappointed when I saw my payslip.

@Georgiana I've just gone through all of mine to check before I call payroll. I received both OMP and SMP until May, then SMP only until August.

I started mat pay last October I’m currently On AL before going back so this pay was a full month not maternity pay and I got £24
