How do I stop my son from eating his poo

Hello, this is so embarrassing and disgusting but my son has started eating his poop, he was diagnosed with moderate autism, so no way of making him understand that what he is doing isn’t right since he does not understand us. Anyone else go through this struggle or just me ?

Yea. I had the same issue with my LO. It’s a difficult place to be in…

Someone told me to try and put a belt everyday on him

That will be a good idea if he’s unable to undo the belt. For us she wears jumpsuits

My son doesn’t eat his poo but he does have a habit of “digging for gold” so to speak. Honestly we put him in onesies (he’s just turned 4) and an extra layer of shorts which we tie tight so he can’t get in.

Jumpsuit or onesie to make copaphagia not an option ( not a parent to a child with autism... But making something not an option of something that can even be done is a good way to fully prevent a behavior from happening.... Probably

My 3 year old random pulls his penis out, so we have him in onsies for now. We are trying to wean him off during the night but haven't sent him to school without one yet.
