Teaching to spoon feed - is it even possible 🤣

How on EARTH are we teaching our babies to spoon feed themselves?! My LO will put an already loaded spoon in his mouth himself maybe once and will kind of dip the spoon into a bowl occasionally if I show him, but honestly he just launches the spoon every time 🙄😩 Between that and constantly chucking his food on the floor, my patience at mealtimes is wearing super thin 🤦🏽‍♀️ How have you all managed it?! 🥹

I mean it just takes time 😂 as long as you’re offering the cutlery and modelling how to use it then there isn’t much more you can do, one day it’ll just click. But for now most babies see that they can eat quicker by using their hands. They’ll get there though don’t worry!

I give her a spoon/fork she mostly plays with it but will occasionally try and dunk it into her food. Tonight we had mashed potato and she just picked up plate and ate it straight from there with her face! Don't stress over it too much they'll figure it out

I’m not managing it 😂 she eats very well with her hands and just uses a spoon or fork to stab things aggressively! She often gets bored of them and just throws the spoon or fork but she is also quite possessive of it and I’m not allowed to spoon feed her anymore, she has to do it herself 🙄 I’ve given up, nursery said it’s normal so just getting them familiar with holding cutlery is progress, don’t stress!
