Weight Gain

This isn’t necessarily about my child, but has anyone gained their pregnancy weight back plus some?🥺 it’s making me super depressed and idk what to do. I can’t fit in any of my old clothes, i’ve sized up twice in clothing and i’m not comfortable 😭

I couldn’t lose weight until I went on a calorie deficit that was safe for breastfeeding and started working out 3-4 times a week. Now finally less than I weighed when I became pregnant the first time. Are you still BF?

yes me too. after my breast milk started to go the weight started coming

@Frankie what’s the calorie deficit you went on?

@Mia depends on your height and weight usually. I did 1600-1800 for a few weeks and it kick started the weight loss. Then i stopped tracking but made sure i ate high protein, low processed food, no more snacking like i did immediately postpartum. I did a 21 day challenge online that i really liked. It was $99 with Inner Alpha Fitness. Taught me some home workouts that i added in on top of strength training in the gym.

Yep! I started gaining slowly the longer I was breastfeeding/pumping because I was just always so hungry. 6 months into no longer breastfeeding and it just keeps piling on. I know I don't eat the greatest so if I button that up I could probably start losing again. It is depressing though.

@Amber agreeeeed. Everyone told me it would come off when I stopped pumping but I gained even more even when I was done although I was eating less!

Yes girl. It’s rough…. I need to be more diligent it’s just hard working full time and being default parent.

@Roma it's so frustrating!!! I was told it would come off while breastfeeding. And it did for some time until it stopped and went the other way lol eating a lot became a habit for sure.

I completely understand how tough this can be, and you’re not alone in feeling this way. Post-pregnancy weight gain is something so many women experience, and it can really affect how we feel about ourselves. I know how frustrating it is when nothing seems to fit, but don’t be too hard on yourself! If you ever want to talk or even start a new routine together, Im here to help and support you. Ive been able to lose 50lbs postpartum and now I help other moms work on themselves and get results. You deserve to feel good in your skin again, and I’d love to be there for you on that journey.

I wish I could lose the weight after I had my son but it was hard for me and still hard 😭😭

@Frankie yes i am. i’d love some advice! only for naps and bedtime tho. he also still wakes up through the night 🥺

@Gen yes yes yes absolutely!! i would love some help!

@iennah the sad part is i went back to my pre pregnancy weight pretty quick after having my son, but slowly gained it back plus more now i’m almost 200 pounds 5’2, and i feel so incredibly disgusted with myself 😭

@Morgan yes!! i’m a sahm and doing everything 24/7 for my son gives me little to no time to do anything for myself! it’s so hard and depressing so it makes me want to just eat 😭 i’ve got to get back on track!

@Amber my son is 16 months and we’re still breastfeeding for naps and bedtime, and through the night 😭 my supply has dropped but my eating habits haven’t changed 🥺 it’s so hard
