I'm in the exact same boat. My 8 month old will now take one piece of food from me and occasionally lick it. If I try and feed him he gets upset.
My second drove me crazy with weaning, he didn’t really eat anything until around 11 months and even then it was slow going.
My daughter started trying things around 6 months, really regressed back at around 8 months and then all of a sudden at 10 months found a love for food again and now she eats loads. She always preferred milk over food
Good to know I’m not alone here thanks ladies
All babies are different. Some take to food right away, others need more time. Be patient! This milestone doesn't need to be rushed. Baby will be fine on milk for at least the next few months. Food is for play, textures, learning to chew. There is a certain amount of nutrient they need, like iron and calcium, after the age of 6 months, but however much actually gets into his mouth will be enough. If he's starting to put things in his mouth already, that's a very positive sign!
