My daughter

Is the only one of my kids that have this hair texture my boys and me have like 4b hair I’m not sure what the hair textures are called or if it’s accurate but we have super curly hair if y’all know what I mean . but please give me advice on what products I cause use to make her hair thicker and help it grow . Sometimes idk what to do with hair hair because it’s so soft and her rubber bands rip her hair out some times. Or what styles to do it’s harder then u think especially working with her different hair texture lol and she always wants French braids and sadly I can’t braid 😭

Idk but it sure is pretty. We use curly kidz leave in spray for my boys with super fine hair. It’s nice and lightweight but keeps the hair moisturized. Aussie kids works well too

Same rules apply for all wavy/curly/coily textures. Sulfate free shampoos, silicone free conditioners and leave in conditioner are the foundations for healthy hair. Throw away the rubber bands. None of you should be using them. There are some scrunches that are more gentle. In the summer, I would wash and go her hair. In the colder months pigtails and ponytails until you learn how to braid. Learn how to braid lol.

My daughter has tight ringlet curls, but her hair is really fine and thin. I bought a rubber band cutter and it worked really well for not pulling the band out of her hair and taking her hair with it. I mainly use styles with the silicone bands in the summer since she swims a lot. She washes her hair once or twice a week , and conditions the rest of the time. I never brush her hair dry, unless I’m flat ironing her hair or braiding. I do braid her hair, but it’s so thin it looks messy unless I do Dutch braids. She tells me how she wants her hair done in the morning. I’m a hairstylist turned SAHM so it’s fun for me to do her hair every morning. Now if only I can get to continually wear her hair wrap when she goes to bed- I’m probably going to switch to a satin pillow case in the meantime time for her.

@Jennifer have you tried a bonnet instead of a hair wrap. I know it doesn’t give the same compression as the hair wrap but bonnets are easier to sleep in.

@Lativa Yes! That’s what she has! Early in the morning and my mind blanked on the word! She said it’s too big and falls off, but it has a tie that comes up and ties on top, so I’m not sure how to help her. Her curls are straighter on the top portion of her hair lately, so I told her not to wear a low pony tail for a while- which she likes to for cheer and for bed so her hair isn’t in her face.
