Diet in pregnancy

I’m feeling terrible about myself as I haven’t been eating the best during this pregnancy. I have a 2 year old and I work and I just have no time to think about myself 😅 I guess I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance 😭

I could have written this myself, feel awful and have a 2 year old so don’t have as much time to exercise whilst working. This week I have started to make an effort to go for walks on my lunch break and cut out the chocolate or unhealthy snacks

@Ruby thanks for replying! It’s hard being pregnant with a toddler isn’t it 😅 I need to start cutting out the snacks too. I keep blaming the pregnancy cravings 😅😂

Same ✋️and I'm constantly hungry and I want something sweet after savory meal and I didn't even lose much weight after my first pregnancy 🙃 and now I'm so much bigger and heavier it's getting me down and I hope I can lose weight when baby is born

I have a 15 month old and back at work full time and 22 weeks pregnant and it’s a struggle! Thankfully most of my meals are pretty balanced and my husband plays a big part in that but I am definitely guilty of needing something sweet and have days where it’s really hard to look after myself and so either not eating or eating not the best especially if on the go. I take my vitamins which I know isn’t a substitute for a good diet but hope that helps a bit. I also know women who have HG the whole pregnancy and survive on things like cokes and toast and have healthy babies. The body is good at prioritising baby and making sure they get what they need and using stores. Obviously if you can get some nutrients in great as will make you feel better but if not I don’t think it’s a huge issue and not to baby. Maybe even if it’s aiming for 2 days of the week where you prioritise meals or a certain meal each day you try to make an easier healthy choice then it’ll balance. Give yourself some grace!
