Mam or tommee tippee

I’ve been looking into anti colic bottles for when baby arrives 21weeks currently and just need some feedback on what people are using, i definitely want anti colic just to tick it off but which is best?

Are you intending on exclusively formula feeding? I personally don't like mam as there's 6 parts per bottle to take apart and wash 🫣

I've used MAM bottles and had no issues. They can self sterilse in the microwave if necessary too. My sister and friends have all used MAM too, equally with no issues. Never used Tommee tippee ones, but I use their prep machine.

My daughter didn't take to the MAM bottles so had to go and buy tommee tippee ones and had no problem that was 5 years ago and now pregnant with twins and I've bought tommee tippee ones again 😊 xxx

Tommee tippee ones I've used with my nephews and they are really easy to use, this is my first baby and will probably buy tommee ones as used to them.

👏 use 👏 silicone 👏 or 👏 glass. Bpa free polypropylene bottles still shed a lot of microplastics including the tommee tippee. Microplastics can negatively affect all body systems including the endocrine and reproductive systems.

@Sabrina microplastics!

I do wonder how we managed to survive, nowadays there's so much you can't do, shouldn't do, we probably drank from bottles we shouldn't have when we were babies, never harmed us, companies wouldn't be allowed to sell bottles if they aren't safe, theres so many health and safely things now that wouldn't allow and testing would have to be done on all products before leaving the manufacturers.

I started my LG on mam but switched to Dr browns and find them so much better especially for gas

@Sabrina I don't think you can say that products wouldn't be allowed to be sold if they weren't safe, what about cot bumpers, sleep nests etc that have had babies die because of them but they're still on sale? Also, to say "never harmed us" isn't correct, have you seen the true story film Dark Waters? About the non stick coating on frying pans that gave an entire town horrible cancers and illnesses. Everyone thought non stick was the bees knees until they found out we've now all got harmful chemicals in our blood stream. Unfortunately we find out about these things too late.

I guess everyone has their own opinions, I am entitled to my opinion, as are you so will leave it at that.

My LO refused every bottle apart from Dr Browns. He finally now takes TT xx

We use Tommee Tippee and love them! You can sterilise in microwave or their steam steriliser is really fab! Highly recommend!

We’ve got both Tommy Tippee and MAM and have no issues with either. I think I personally prefer the MAM ones, they seem more solid.

Is there a chance you could pump and bottle feed breast milk? I found the MAM bottles leaked BM out the bottom holes no matter how hard I tried to seal the ring thing (although could have been user error🙈)! We then swapped to tommee tippee and defo preferred it for us!x

I hated mam. Loved nuk. Will be trying the Philips avent natural response ones this time seen a lot of good reviews on them

My little one used both of these, she stopped taking tommee tippee so used man for a while until she stopped taking to mam. We then switched back to tommee tippee and no problems :)
