Tins of soup

Sorry if it’s a stupid question, Can my 9 months have a tin of soup? Obv they can but is it bad for them? I don’t always have time to make homemade soup so just wondering

Keep an eye on the sugar and salt levels as they can be very high but would be okay every now and again. If you’re steaming or boiling any veg to mash for baby or even just to have for dinner, you can just blend that up and its essentially soup, baby doesnt need any stock

I don’t think they’re supposed to have things containing salt before the age of 1 because their kidneys can’t process it very well. A tiny amount is fine but those cans of soups definitely are properly seasoned so have quite a bit of salt. I wouldn’t give it to them. You’re better off just buying premade food pouches for babies rather than premade food that’s for adults. It’s not food for them.
