Flexible working-part time and WFH
Has anyone requested to work from home one day per week when returning to work? I’m requesting to work 3 days per week when going back to work, however there is an option to request wfh too. I really want to wfh 1 out of the 3 days. How do I justify this when employer ask?

I dont know if you need to justify it as such, most employers do a hybrid rota now and employees expect flexibility post covid, if the job can be done from home they should offer this, you can just say it suits you better or financially suits better with cost of commute or works better with child care, employers who arent offering this are seeing lots of people leaving!
I submitted my request just over a week ago (I'm waiting to hear back) which was 3 x full days in the office and 1 x half-day WFH, also with compressed hours. I literally put down that this is to accommodate arranged childcare, so I can drop off / pick up my child from the caregiver - which it is! I really hope it's accepted 🤞

Why do you want the WFH day- is it related to commute time? Working around childcare commitments? Etc. Sometimes you can just be honest with your employer, but not always 😂
