Food

Hey how many times a day are you feeding your little ones food? I do once or twice and have just been doing purées so far but my son doesn’t happily open his mouth for food I have to force the purees in his mouth :(

So my health visitor gave me a step by step guide: First 3 days single veg if they take to that then introduce fruit as another meals for another 3 days then if that goes well introduce breakfast like porridge or rusks for another 3 days then start combining fruit and veg for 3 days then ibtroudce chicken or fish and gravy and finger food If at any point they show resistance you keep going with the first step. Until they take What have you given your little one so far? We’ve done sweet potato, broccoli and carrot for veg and only banana for fruit and she’s trying pear today She hated broccoli. I would personally keep trying different veg

We just started last week. He eats purées once a day. It’s kind dog a fight first so I put the puree on my finger and just put it in his mouth. After that he seems okay. Yesterday though he loved pureed apple with some cinnamon(we boiled a cinnamon stick in water)

@Leah so today I gave vegetable risotto puree and put the puree on a spoon and he grabbed it and fed himself and put slices of toast on the side and he chomped on it! So think we making progress!

Im feeding our LO 2-3x a day with snacks in between he loves his food x

Mine gets a tablespoon of puree once a day (we sometimes skip a day, we only started last week). The advise I've seen is 1 meal a day for the first like month then go up to 2 around 8 months then around 10 3 meals and at 13 months 3 meals and 1 or 2 snacks

We’ve done anywhere from 0-3 times a day since she’s started. If there’s anything she can have with our meal I’ll give her a little taste but she’s not actually consuming anything. I’m not super fussed with her eating just since it’s so early

Our LO has one ‘meal’ a day and then she may have a snack too. She does enjoy food. She didn’t like purées as we had to help her (and god forbid that happens 😂) so now she has them in a feeder she can do herself and is very happy with that.
