Itchy skin

I have been suffering with itchy skin the past few days and it seems to be getting worse rather than better. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with twins. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am having the exact same at 34 weeks with twins (all body, getting even worse in the evenings). Following for advice

I had it with my 1st. I don't mean to scare you but you need to be seen asap. It can be choleostasis (sp?) and you need to have your bile acids monitored which is a pain but can be serious. Mine actually never turned into anything and baby was delivered fine at 41w6d (obviously not twins) but call maternity asap.

Sorry, I just got a cream which actually was worse than the itching so I stopped using it but definitely worth getting checked out.

You and @Linda need to go and get checked out at the hospital now. It could be nothing, but as Hannah said, it could be serious and require immediate medical attention. Please keep us updated, I hope you are both ok.

I had this as well, started on my belly then legs and feet. Ot was the worst itching I ever experienced on my life. I told my midwife and they did a blood test to check liver bile acid levels. I had Cholestasis as mentioned above too. Luckily for me it started about 10 days before my scheduled section at 37 weeks so I managed through with a prescribed steroid cream for my feet and another cream for my legs. They did tell me though if I had been earlier on with it they may have considered medication and bringing my section forward so definitely also recommend going and getting it checked. Don't bother with the gp go straight to midwife/consultant.

Thank you, I have made an appointment to get my bloods done at the hospital tomorrow 🤞

Thank you all! Same, I talked to the midwife and having my blood tested tomorrow
