My LO started at 9 months old and she was ill almost constantly until she was 2. I was so worried that she has some sort of immune deficiency. Anyway, she’s three now and barely gets sick at all. People told me it was normal and I didn’t believe them, but I can now confirm it is. It’s really hard, but I promise it does get better.
We started nursery at 10 months, the first winter was just hideous back to back constantly ill. This previous winter was really good, the odd bug but pretty well. So hopefully this winter is the same. I think it takes long time for thier immune system to build up. If they’re otherwise eating healthily and vitamins, you’re doing what you can. Just have to ride it out
Could have written what @Yasmine and @Lucy said myself - it does get better
My daughter was exactly the same it was always chest infections requiring antibiotics it got to the point I would walk into the GP and the prescription was already printed, whilst it's common for children to get sick often as nurserys are a germs playground it was too much for me. All day everyday my child was outside playing in the colder months it seemed to exasperate the common cold so I changed nurseries and it reduced the chest infection frequency and as she's gotten older she rarely develops chest infections from a cold now.
We started just after 2 years. Half a day… he is three. He has hardly been ill… Now i heard its better to get everything you mentioned - so to make immune system better! Before school. So i am not sure what is good- to be ill like in your case or not to be at all - my case 🧐🤨🤷♀️
Following as in the same boat!!
