Terrified of everything…

Feel like I’m doing everything wrong, I had my 2 week old laying on chest last night and went to sit up, forgot to support his head and his head flipped back and forth and now I’m scared of shaken baby syndrome, he’s been especially fussy today and I’m not sure if it’s related

If you're concerned, it's probably best to take him to be checked by a medical professional, the earlier he's seen if you suspect it, the better. I'm so sorry you're going through this mama 💕 Baby's are pretty resilient though and can handle bouncing and things and I think it's very difficult to create enough force to cause shaken baby syndrome without actually shaking the baby. Sending love 💖

I had something similar happen to me I was trying to pick something up and forgot to support his head and felt the same way hun! I felt so bad I cried my eyes out and watched him like a hawk for a while after! But After reading up and watching a million videos on it , its really sad but for a baby to get SBS its takes very violent shaking! I promise baby will be fine, and you are doing a great job mama don’t beat yourself up! If you are really concerned message your pediatrician or take baby in to get checked out!

I promise you he is fine ! For a baby to have shaken baby syndrome it has to be intentional ! Hard shaking to wear the brain is hitting the skull .. I’m a pediatric nurse and have seen it all trust me you’re not going to hurt your baby by accident … babies seem fragile but they are alot harder to harm than you think!
