What to expect at appointment?

For my 36 weeks, my ob did a swab for GBS.

Group b strep and a regular Ob visit, they didn’t do a cervical exam at that time for me. Expect scheduling weekly from now to delivery though

I had the group B strep test and a quick ultrasound to see baby's position.

Swab for GBS, check heart rate, talk, that’s about it. No ultrasound

For me they swabbed my front and back to test me for everything I didn’t feel anything , they also let me do it myself and I did get an ultrasound I guess it depends on your doctor & I got to hear babys heartbeat 😊

@Rebecca yeah that’s what I thought would be a weekly appointments at this point forward but they can’t get me in for another month after this appointment, and baby will either be here or be here any day by that time!

I also have my 36th week appointment tomorrow I’ll be starting my NST test but I also want a cervical check because I’m having extreme pain down there that’s unbearable at times. Also seeing my ob 2x a week until baby is here I wonder why you’re going in that far apart, I would question them!

If your uncomfortable with out pants then be prepared for that since they need to do a swab test for gbs the swab isn't the uncomfortable part just the with out pants is

@Carly that seems widely inappropriate. The late 3rd trimester should be the time slot availability priority. I’m sorry you are dealing with that
